Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
DBT teaches us that everything in life has an opposite, and that two things that oppose each other can also both be true. Thinking dialectically is a helpful practice in unlearning certain patterns of thinking that are unhelpful or leaving us feeling stuck. DBT offers concrete tools to tolerate distressing emotions and to communicate better in our relationships.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
In ACT, we dispel the myth that happiness is necessarily our "goal" in life. In this modality, we accept that hard things will happen and commit to living a meaningful life regardless.
Mindfulness-Based-Stress-Reduction
Mindfulness is an important foundation of many cognitive behavioral techniques. Mindfulness helps us become aware of our thoughts and feelings, without the added judgement we are so often making about our feelings being good or bad, right or wrong. Mindfulness is often the first step in learning how to cope more effectively with difficult emotions.
My Approach
People enter therapy with me for many types of reasons at different stages of their lives. I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients to identify problem areas they would like to spend time on with the goal of finding peace and ease in their lives. You can expect to receive validation, a little bit of humor, and solution-focused strategies along the way.

The client-therapist relationship is very important to me. I will never use Google searches to learn about your life outside of sessions and will not accept friend requests through social media.
